GIC COMMITTEE LEADS & FUNCTIONS

The Events and Awards Committee plans, connects and collaborates with high-quality events to further promote and expose the work of the Gospel Industry Coalition. From awards shows, to major concerts and special industry gatherings, the committee ensures the recognition and meaningful engagement of attendees at various events to offer the opportunity for gospel music’s growth through unity.

The Total Soul Health Committee addresses the holistic well-being of gospel industry professionals—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. It promotes healthy lifestyles, mental wellness awareness, balance, and self-care through education and resources. The committee’s mission is to ensure that those who serve through music and ministry are supported, whole, and equipped to sustain long, healthy lives and careers.

The Data and Research Committee gathers, analyzes, and interprets

industry data to support informed decision-making across the gospel music

sector. By tracking trends, demographics, economic impact, and historical records,

the committee provides valuable insights that guide strategy, advocacy, and

innovation. Its work strengthens transparency, accountability, and long-

term planning within the industry.

The Radio Committee supports and advocates for gospel radio as a critical platform for ministry, promotion, and community connection. It addresses programming standards, airplay practices, emerging technologies, and relationships between artists, labels, and stations. The committee works to strengthen gospel radio’s influence while ensuring fairness, integrity, and
continued relevance in a digital media landscape.

The Christian Hip Hop/R&G Committee champions Christian Hip Hop and related urban expressions within the gospel music ecosystem. It supports artists, producers, and creatives by addressing visibility, authenticity, industry access, and cultural relevance. The committee works to affirm CHH as a vital ministry and art form while creating opportunities for education, collaboration, and growth.

The Record Labels and Promotions Committee focuses on the business of producing, marketing, and promoting gospel music. It provides insight into label releases, promotional strategies, and evolving industry trends. The committee serves as a bridge between creatives and commerce, advocating for ethical practices while helping artists and labels navigate an ever-changing media and music marketplace.

The Artist Committee serves as the voice and advocate for gospel artists at every stage of their careers. It addresses artist-specific concerns including career development, creative rights, mental wellness, contracts, and industry relationships. By fostering dialogue, support, and collaboration, the committee ensures that artists are informed, protected, and positioned to thrive both creatively and professionally.

The Praise and Worship Committee focuses on the spiritual, musical, and leadership dimensions of worship ministry. It supports worship leaders, musicians, and creatives through education, mentorship, and dialogue around theology, creativity, and excellence. The committee seeks to preserve the heart of worship while encouraging innovation that serves congregations and reflects the evolving sound of the church.
